MDE are excited to launch our latest service 'MDE Pre-Product Acceptance'.

Using our combined 45+ experience with Mobile handset testing across all major Australian networks, we know which test cases find the most issues and which do not. Based on this experience, we have developed our own unique Pre-PA test set which places much greater focus on the areas of testing which are likely to cause issue.

In addition, we have made the test cases suit all of the major Australian networks so Optus, Telstra and Vodafone/Hutchison will be Pre-PA tested all in one. Using MDE Pre-PA you can be confident that each handset we test will be much more comprehensively tested during the Pre-PA stage, which can speed up the release of the handset to market as more issues are found earlier on.

You will only be charged for the testing performed. If no testing is
required or needed, you will not be charged.

In order to release a handset to the market the manufacturer must first have it pass the Network Operator Product Acceptance test set. Mobile Data Evaluations follows the test set provided by the Network operator. In addition, we evaluate the handsets more comprehensively by using our knowledge and testing experience to go above and beyond the scope of the test set. Our aim is that all of the issues are found before the handset under testing is ready for the market.

Regression or Sanity testing is performed once a handset has already been released to market. It can be performed in such cases as when a new software update is released for a handset. MDE will run through the basic regression test set then do what we like to call 'free testing' whereby we try to discover issues by using features we know to have caused problems in the past. The turnaround time for regression is quick with the report usually submitted on the same day as the handset is received.

MDE can do further testing on any specific accessories as necessary. Do you have a car kit you would like to test on all networks? A Bluetooth headset you would like to test on multiple handsets? A sync software package you need to test out with your handset on multiple platforms? MDE can work with you to create test sets to suit just about any mobile accessory then perform the testing. This covers the testing of SIM card functions and/or SIM Tool Kit services across a variety of handsets. MDE can perform testing using a test set created by the network operator or can devise a test set and perform thorough testing of all SIM services on multiple handsets.

MDE frequently performs mobility testing to test handovers between individual cell towers, routing and location areas. This ensures that there will be no issue with the handset performance while on the move.
